Every Friday and Saturday night you will find me on a boat, bowfishing with my boyfriend, Hunter, and my two bestfriends, Shelby and Zac. Since this past April, we have made it a tradition to go every weekend together. It 's so much fun and I always enjoy going. I can say that we have honestly had our fair share of bad luck. A few days after the tornado in Eclectic, the boys decided it would be a GREAT idea to go bowfishing that following weekend. With all of the trees, garbage and everything else that wasn't supposed to be in the lake had Shelby and I creeped out and we were ready to go by the time we hit the water. Not only could we not see, but the boat decided it was going to turn off and not crank back up. After a little while the boys finally got it fixed and we made it safely back to the boat ramp. We've seen Zac's dad get flipped out of the boat, snakes come way to close to our boat, alligator gar almost snapping my fingers off, and so many more. But there was another night of bad luck that started when we took my boyfriends boat and Zac's boat. After we got Zac in the water and his truck parked, Hunter was in his boat and I was supposed to back him down the ramp into the water. Little did he know I had never back a boat in the water. After having help from Shelby, we finally got Hunter in the water and as I parked his truck and we all hopped in the boats and went on to fish. A few hours into fishing BOTH boats start having problems. After all that got fixed and we get back to the boat ramp, it was probably around midnight. Both me and Shelby had to get up early the next morning and go to work. Well as were getting the truck, Hunter noticed that his trailor tire was flat, and I'm not talking about just needs a little more air, I'm talking about FLAT. Well, his dad needed his boat the next morning for fishing so we had to get that tire fixed. Luckily Zac had a mini air compressor in his truck but we needed something to fix the hole. Shelby and I then go all the way back to my house which is about fifteen minutes away to get some fix-a-flat out of my car. After finally making it back and getting thr fix-a-flat into the tire it starts working and we eventually made it back to the house. After looking at the tire for awhile, Hunter notice that it was a nail that had poked the tire of was either inside the tire. The tire was fine when we first got there, so I'm thinking i must have ran over it when I was parking his truck. Needless to say I don't back his truck in the water anymore. There are so many more expereices we have been through while bowfishing but yet we still go back every weekend.
